Nancy Fish Hawkins
Acrylics, watercolors and oils are all within Hawkins’ wide range of art expertise.
Whether producing realistic or abstract images, her works reflect a profound use
of color combined with an oriental sense of balance and design. Her techniques,
attained after years of study allow her to revel in the joy of painting.
The artist’s early training was in Japan, where she lived during her teens. Returning
to the United States, she studied at Massachusettes College of Art, completing
her B.S. in Art Education with an honors degree at Wayne State University. There
she continued doing post degree work in fine arts.
Her work has been shown in galleries and exhibitions here and abroad, receiving
numerous awards. She is a long-time member of Art Uptown Gallery, Sarasota, and
currently resides in Bradenton, Florida.
