Liz Hutchinson-Sperry has been very active in the Southwest Florida art scene for over twenty years.  She has been the recipient of many honors and prizes in judged and juried exhibitions including "Best Portrait" at the Naples Art Encounter.  Liz owns and operates Red Hat Studio in Punta Gorda, an independent facility that offers classes in oil, acrylic, drawing, color theory,  mural and stained glass design. 

 

A love of color permeates her work.   The Florida landscape offers unique opportunities to work with the vibrant and exotic colors Floridians see every day.    After spending ten summers in Giverny France as Assistant Instructor for ArtStudy/Giverny, France,  Liz developed an equal love of the soft impressionist view of nature.
