Jon Greeley
After graduating from the American Academy of Art in Chicago, Jon returned to
his hometown of Springfield, Illinois, where he opened his studio focusing on
portraiture.
His skilful techniques in charcoal, pastel and oil soon earned him a reputation
to produce portraiture and commissioned paintings for successful business people
and dignitaries from state government. Now, as a full-time painter, Jon’s focus
hasn’t changed. He has become
one of the premier portrait artist in the Sarasota -Bradenton aera.
When not involved with portraits, he enjoys painting a still life or landscape
with his artist friends or spending a day painting from a model in his studio.
His studio is located in the historic art center of Sarasota, Towles Court, 1938
