Michael Dowd

Michael’s early art education came from his mother, herself an accomplished artist. Once he reached his teens, he began a course of independent study of art that led him to various materials, techniques and opportunities. He has worked in many commercial art fields as well as fine arts.

Artist’s statement:

Deep reverence for the natural world has been an ongoing theme in my work. My choice of subjects reflects the beauty of nature as well as my concerns for the ever-present threat to its continuing existence.
